Melchizedek was never born?
Question: What does Hebrews 7:1-3 mean when it says Melchizedek was without a father and mother?
Answer: This doesn't mean that Melchizedek didn't have any parents, or that he wasn't born or didn't die. It means there was no record of his genealogy (Heb. 7:10). This was unusual for a priest because they needed genealogical records to qualify for the priesthood. Because of his unusual priesthood, Melchizedek became a type (an illustration or picture) of Christ.
Jesus was a priest "according to the order of Melchizedek." (Heb. 7:17)
Melchizedek had no beginning or end. Jesus has no beginning or end.
Melchizedek was both a king and priest (Gen. 14:17-20). Jesus is a king and priest.
